[Cartoweb-users] Is it possible to use .ecw file?

Hello list,
When I try to use use .ecw file instead of .tif I got the following error:

"Error in msDrawRaster(): Unrecognized or unsupported image format
Error in drawEPP(): /home/hawarit/vijn/data/bolsward/blsecw.ecw is not an EPPL file."

Is it possible to use .ecw file?
NB: I'm using cartoweb v 3 in ubuntu linux.
