[Cartoweb-users] How to convert shape file (.shp, shx) to raster file ?

Hi,

shp2img creates an image from a mapfile, not from a shp file. Therefore, 
you have to create a mapfile first. See the help message of shp2img or 
http://mapserver.gis.umn.edu/docs/reference/utilityreference/shp2img. 
Alternatively, you may try gdal_rasterize, but I do not know if it works.
