Hi,

If the question is: can I use mysql to store spatial data and use it  
in the mapfile, the answer is probably yes. OGR allows to read data  
from mysql, so you can configure one mapserver layer to point to your  
mysql table.

If the question is about using mysql for routing or other advanced  
operations, the answer is no.
