Thank you Oliver,
it was my fault, while trying to force lines from linestring to multistring i changed the metadata in the layers ('edit_geometry_type' 'line' ) to ('edit_geometry_type' 'multiline' ), which doesnt cause any other side effect. When looking at the clientEdit.php - getTools function, i realised it depends on case point, line and polygon.

Broun Uganda

From: oliver.christen@camptocamp.com
To: tekuganda@hotmail.com; cartoweb-users@lists.maptools.org
Subject: Re: [Cartoweb-users] Edit plugin - tool bar items lost
Date: Thu, 5 Jul 2007 08:24:06 +0200

tool bar items lost

Dear all
When i login into my project and choose an edit
layer the tool box for editing appears with different items depending on layer
to edit (polygon, line, point) as expected. My problem though is that one tool
box item - edit_polygone for polygons
and edit_line for lines,
frequently doesn't appear in the tool box. This happens
for both polygons and lines. Dou you guys have an idea what is
happening?

Thank you

Broun Uganda
