<DIV><FONT size=2>There is sadely no really easy way to know whats slowing down
the application. What you can do is use apd (<A
href="http://www.php.net/manual/en/ref.apd.php">http://www.php.net/manual/en/ref.apd.php</A>)
to generate logs of all calls and then use </FONT><FONT size=3>KCacheGrind to
read the log (all infos are on that page). This is a bit tedious but it would
allow to pinpoint exactly the source of the problem.</FONT></DIV>

something wrong with my cartoweb application and not the data side. I did use
the demoCW3 as starting point and did only customise some java for
queries.<o:p></o:p></SPAN></FONT></P>

did not add or change any of the php or java code. I use postgis data and have
to display about 20 layers of which the largest has 60 000 features. That
