save the icon image in the default icon folder in server_conf/yourproject/icons/
and only set the filename in layer.layer.icon</FONT></DIV>

<P class=MsoNormal>I have applied a user style - sld.xml to a remotely
served WMS layer. <BR>This works! Yeah. <BR>However, the legend icon that is
being used is the one returned from the WMS get map request if the map
file</P>
<P class=MsoNormal>states<BR>"wms_legend_graphic" "true" - so i
have commented this out and<BR></P>
<P class=MsoNormal>I have tried to override this by changing layer.layer.icon
= “path to icon” in layers.ini. <BR>This does not seem to make the layer use
the new icon. <BR></P>
