I am not informed enough to know weather this widget should react in this
described manor. 

Q: Are these the desired results for this functionally? 

Q: When the debugger is on should this error be displayed when it is the only
widget?

Q: When the debugger is turned off should some errors still be displayed??

This needs to be talked over by the developers.
