           Summary: [Chameleon - Documentation] Review JavaScript API
                    document first draft
           Product: Chameleon
           Version: 1.99
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: Documentation
        AssignedTo: chameleon-dev at lists.maptools.org
        ReportedBy: dredfern at dmsolutions.ca

The first draft of the "Chameleon JavaScript API" document has been checked
into CVS. The source is in docs/xml/JavaScriptAPI.xml and the HTML version
is in docs/html/JavaScriptAPI.html.

Paul and I discussed this document a few weeks ago and agreed that not much in
it needed changing for Chameleon 1.99. As well, we agreed that since the
audience for this document was relatively minor, that not alot of
attention/time be spent updating it for this release. I went through and
changed anything that was blatantly incorrect (product names, versions, etc.),
added sections (e.g., Introduction, For More Information) to make it consistent
with other documents, and did a general clean-up.

Please read through it and make any changes/deletions/additions you feel are
necessary. You can either change the *source* yourself (DO NOT CHANGE THE
HTML), or make a comment in this bug about what you feel needs changing.

Everyone is welcome to comment, but I need at least the following people to
review the document:

* Paul Spencer
* Chris Thorne

Paul, if you feel that there's anyone else you definitely want to review this
document, please contact them.

Bug #830 is the tracking bug for this document and lists the preceding and
following steps to this bug.
