Ok, so it really just a visual problem?  I'll take a quick look at how textareas
behave on linux in mozilla 1.6.

Also, what do you mean by "choppy"?  All the property pages are on individual
layers and at start up, all the pages are moved around to their proper position
and order.  Could it be that this choppy-ness is seen because you are running a
slower machine and you can now see the layers moving?  If this is the case then
I could put a screen layer that says "loading" while the pages are being sorted.
 I was forced to do this for the admin tool.
