My initial comments weren't made with the expectation that Chameleon 2.4 would 
ensure backwards compatibility for MLT. I recognize that, in order for 
functionality to advance, this is not always possible. But, if it is possible 
to reduce the time and resources expected of a client to do an upgrade, they 
are more likely to do it and with less resentment. My suggestion was merely 
meant to point out an opportunity to do this. It will not cover everything, but 
will be a help as, I believe, it will cover the majority of uses.
