[Chameleon] Wrong scale but fine distance measurements

Joan,

A 1:5000 topographic sheet means the data was captured at a scale of 1:5000. It indicates the precision of mapping. But of course a map can be viewed at any scale. Is this what confuses you? If not, check your units. Maybe you got feet and metres mixed up.

Subject: [Chameleon] Wrong scale but fine distance measurements

I've done my project in Chamaleon, and all seems fine
(at this moment...) but when I look at the scale box I
notice that it's wrong! eg: The area is 1:5000 and it
display 1:25000 aproximately. And I'm sure because it
is a topographic sheet at 1:5000.

But when I measure distances it's ok. Why? I can't
understand it.

Someone knows the solution?

Thank you very much
