[Chameleon] Maptips and PostGIS

I was trying to query a postgis layer for my locate widget, and assumed it was a 'feature' that you couldn't do a getShape request on a postgis layer. But according to http://mapserver.gis.umn.edu/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=316
it was fixed a while ago. Did it break again?
