[Chameleon] Tree legend structure

You are right I suppose. I like XMLThemeLegend but I need to use the
mapserver generated icons because I have many different layers/classes
and it has no sense to manually create legend icons for each of them. I
have managed to use some code I found on the Net form Paul Spencer and
Edith Taki so I am trying to do the tree structure with toggling
group/layer checkboxes, etc. It is still not working as it should but I
hope I will manage it...

thanks, dejan

Hi Dejan,

No, we haven't yet. I would like to add something like that, but the
trouble is the JS code for dealing with forms never seems to work on all
browsers in the same way!

Thanks Roland,

Did you maybe implement some Javascript functions to deal with toggling
the checkboxes, etc.?

Hi Dejan,

There are several bits you can add to normal legends which do similar
things - ours have things like [leg_group_html] and [leg_layer_html
order_metadata=WMS_ORDER opt_flag=15] in addition to the normal
[leg_layer_html] - you do lose the functionality of the XML legend
though.

Hi,

I have already asked a similar question. I would like to have the "tree"
like legend with checkboxes for activating/deactivating the layers,
grouping
possibilities (preferably customizable and independent of group/layer
settings in map file, etc.). I know the XMLThemeLegend offers such a
possibilities but I would also like to use mapserver generated legend
icons
(at the class and layer level) that XMLThemeLegend can't do.

Has anyone implemented something similar so I can reuse the code or just
get
some help on implementation?

thanks very much

dejan
