[Chameleon] What distro of linux do you use to work with chameleon ?

Can someone recommend me a distro or doesn't it matter ?
I'd like to make it work on Suse 10.0 or is that a bad idea ?
Maybe hostgis would be a solution but I'd rather seems complicated ?
