In the Makefile,  HTTPClient is not part of the COMMON-DIRS:


COMMON-DIRS  = adb appcontext logger treemenu jtree wmsparse wrapper 
projection phpwms phpgeocoder buttonizer mlt xml_utils session ogr tar 
colorpicker picker zip hitcounter

It is why the HTTPClient is missing from the 2.4 release.
