Hmm, these are always tricky problems .....
That's why I have always used CONNECTIONTYPE WMS layers in Chameleon,
and have Mapserver WMS connect to Oracle. That approach used to work fine.
You might want to try and contact Fernando Simon (fsimon at univali.br), he
is the maintainer of Oracle Spatial in Mapserver. He might be able to
help you in debugging the problem.
First of all, check your Apache access and error log, and create a
minimal PHP script (based on the Query widget) to replicate the problem.
