[Chameleon] how to get layer Extent

[Sarfraz]

I am new to chameleon and trying to get the extent of some specified layer
but unable to get.
I read all document that i able to found but unable to find any method in
JavaScript API for CWCLayer to getExtent().

Please help me in understanding chameleon.
