[FGS] FGS 1.0: PHP5 and Postgresql problem

We are running centos 5.2 final
.......
[root at gisTest opt]# uname -a
Linux gisTest 2.6.18-92.1.13.el5 #1 SMP Wed Sep 24 19:33:52 EDT 2008 
i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
.............

and have this issues with anything above 
fgs-postgresql-server-8.1.9-linux-i386.tar.gz

..........
creating template1 database in /opt/fgs/apps/pgsql/data/base/1 ... 
FATAL:  invalid value for parameter "timezone_abbreviations": "Default"
......................

We have tried to force-install from a running version of  
fgs-postgresql-lib-8.1.9-linux-i386.tar.gz with no success.


Can anyone tell me what was done to relove the issue with Debian as its 
getting a tad frustrating.
