[FWTools] MySQL Driver

How far back does the MySQL driver in OGR go?  I know that the spatial
support is hot off of Hobu's grill, but is that when the driver was written
as well.  I am hoping to use a direct connect to MySQL in MapServer 4.6.1 to
avoid setting up odbc.  Simple X/Y columns for points.
