I am using FWTOOLS v1.3.5 (WinXP) and have tried a number of
memory/cache switch settings to extract a portion of an ECW image with
no success.
This process used to work in previous versions. However no matter what
switches I try FWTOOLS is unable to do this.
For example :-
gdal_translate -of hfa -a_srs EPSG:4326 -projwin 140 -16 152 -26
Z:\Raster\geoimage.ecw extract.img
0...10...20...30.ERROR 2: CPLMalloc(): Out of memory allocating 6980328
bytes.
This is frustrating as I am trying to get others using FWTOOLS/gdal/ogr
as these tools have been a God-send to me.
Is there a preferred set of magic switches I should be using to extract
from large ECW's we have been sent ?
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Shaun
