Hi Frank,

A friend asked me to look at the regionator package which supposedly
creates kml files from geotifs, the package requires GDAL and was put
together by Google. Its open source at

http://code.google.com/p/regionator

I downloaded it and tried to run the test scripts but found they were
shell scripts. I converted them to batch files and was then able to run
most of the tests (not all of them). The superoverlay tests ran so I
tried to create a kml from the file I sent you before. It ran for about
30 mins generated several hundred jpgs and kml files including a
root.kml but when I opened google earth it went to the correct place but
the image was garbage.

Are you familar with the regionator, especially given it requires GDAL?

Best wishes Simon

p.s. I posted a question about the regionator but no response.
