[FWTools] gdal_translate and gdalwarp

Hi all,

I would like to use gdal_translate or gdalwarp to convert a 8 bit color gif
image to color jpeg image without color table. I try gdal_translate -of JPEG
a.gif b.jpg but get BW output. 

What is the correct syntax for this?
