I'm looking to add a measure tool - simple line distances and areas of enclosed polygons. <br>

The Atlantis documentation states that the GvPquery layer can be used
with the CTRL key to draw out simple lne distances, but i think the
key-press triggers the zoompan tool in the FWTools release (1.0.0.a4) -
or am i completely wrong?<br>

I went through the ogr.py file and found GetDistance and GetArea, so I
know its possible - but if anyone has alredy written the tool, can you
help?<br>
