<p style="margin:0;padding:0;">I'm just tossing this out there to see if anyone else has had issues with shapefiles generated through OGR not reflecting their true extents on load.</p>

<p style="margin:0;padding:0;">I've got a situation where I am creating a 1 degree x 1 degree shapefile through code from scratch, containing lines. When I'm done adding features I destroy the data source, then reload it, checking its extents. Even though the data is all there (I can view the file in a 3rd party mapping tool), the extents being reported back to me through OGR are cut off along the latitude.</p>
