Can you please provide an example URL that dopes not work for you?  I would like
to help you resolve your problem.  

The relative URLs for the images should load with no problem if your URLs are
correct. As you mentioned, if your server base is the ka-map context relative to
the server root (i.e. "/ka-map/") and you have an "images" directory directly
below this directory then you should have no problems with the relative URLs in
ka-map and all images can be accessed via /ka-map/images/*  or by just images/*
from any file in /ka-map/.
