[ka-Map-users] ka-map+python?

Dear List

I'm the developer of http://mapnik.berlios.de. I've been looking into 
using AJAX for my project (c++/python/zope) and I'm wondering if anyone 
out there is working on ka-map/python integration. 
Also, at the  moment  ka-map is using MapServer as a rendering engine, 
would it be a good idea to have a more generic framework, e.g. someone 
might want to use different rendering engines?
I've created a simple demo to show how mapnik/ka-map can work together 
and if anyone's interested to have a look, just drop me an email and 
I'll open my firewall.
