[ka-Map-users] Hardware requirements for Ka-Map site

The server is a Pentium 4 Hyperthread, ~3GHz, 2GB RAM, IDE disks,
running Linux.

OK, well as a bit of a test, I have just set up ka-map on a 1.2GHz P4
(Intel) with 128MB RAM and an old IDE drive running Ubuntu linux. I
found the panning around to be a touch chunky at times, using the gmap
demo from the fgs tools on maptools.org, but the overall performance
still excellent.

This test isn't exactly going to give you a user/load test, but it does
demonstrate the very small load footprint that these apps use...
