[ka-Map-users] layer manipulation

Does anybody know if it is possible to load up ka-map with a layer
disabled (so that it does not show up in the layer list) and then
enable it dynamically based on user input? I would also like to reload
this layer and disable it based on user input. I would like to do this
without reloading the page or any other ka-map layers.

If anybody could point me in the right direction I would be grateful.
