Christian,

there are a couple of things you can try:

1) load http://<server>/ka-map/htdocs/init.php and see if it returns  
some javascript or some php errors.  If it returns PHP errors then  
hopefully it will be descriptive of the problem and you can fix it.

2) try using forward slashes in the file names (c:/ms4w/Apache/htdocs/ 
NG/nj.map)
