Thanks for the link, I will look at this library.

I did some experiments with SVG in Firefox. The task of drawing vector
objects on ka-Map is easy and straightforward, but I'm not been able
to menage with mouse events (click and drag) over the SVG overlay. So
the ka-Map application looks fine but is unusable.
