Sounds like you have a PHP/IIS specific problem. Try writing a Hello World
PHP script and put it next to tile.php.. then call it. If IIS/PHP becomes
as black-boxish as I expect it to (haven't used that configuration myself).
try installing MS4W from www.maptools.org <http://www.maptools.org/> . That
would allow you test things out with apache.

Hi,

I used the Live Header from Mozilla in order to identify the errors and it
gives me this error for all tiles it tries to load:

http://(my

site)/kamap%2D0.1.1/htdocs/tile.php?map=gmap&t=-400&l=-600&w=200&h=200&s=150
00000

GET
/ajax/kamap%2D0.1.1/htdocs/tile.php?map=gmap&t=-400&l=-600&w=200&h=200&s=150

Server: Microsoft-IIS/6.0
X-Powered-By: ASP.NET
Content-Type: text/html

I also want to tell you that every time I run my ka-map web application, it
makes my php turn down

(I'm using IIS). Then, I always get this error : PHP has encountered an
Access Violation at

01C7689A. I have to restart IIS to make PHP work again.

Thanks for your help,

Clint

You can get a better description of what's going wrong by calling the
"tile.php" file directly. To find out which variables to call this script
(which kamap uses behind the scenes to render the various tiles it requests)
with you can try installing something like the Live Header mozilla extension
and use firefox/mozilla as your browser.

So once you mimick the tile.php calls you'll get the actual errors coming
out of the tile.php script which I think is where your problem is occurring.

Hope that helps,

moran

Hi. I'm kind of new to Ka-Map and I went through the "Build AJAX-Based Web
Maps Using ka-Map" tutorial to get started. When I try to display the map
with the pattern included in the Ka-map-0.1.1 bundle, I always see flashing
dead tiles all around the map. When I use the same configuration with
MapServer (same imagepath, same .map file but without the use of ka-map),
everything works fine. Can anybody help me? Thanks.

Clint
