[ka-Map-users] how to adjust scalebar units?

I have my Ka-Map displaying English units, by editing the scalebar.js
file.  That is fine, except that at scales greater than 1:50000, the
scalebar displays in inches.  I'd rather not have it display inches at
any scale, only feet or miles.  Where can I adjust that?
