           Product: MapLab
           Version: 3.0
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2

        AssignedTo: maplab-dev@lists.maptools.org
        ReportedBy: nsavard@dmsolutions.ca

No error message is displayed for a wrong symbol file path

(See bug 75 for Zak comments about the path specification.)

Steps to reproduce:

1. Start Maplab
2. Open the tutorial map.

The object browser is empty and the keymap is not appearing because the
application needs the absolute path for the symbol file.

The php errors log is as follow:

[14-Nov-2003 14:22:24] PHP Warning: [MapServer Error]: msLoadSymbolSet():
(./etc/symbols.sym)
 in
/home/testsuite/proj/maplab-3.0dev-20031107/htdocs/common/wrapper/map_session.php
on line 215
