[Mapserver-ottawa] mapserver documentations

Hi to whom it may concern,

I am a student achieving master degree in water sciences. In a web-mapping
course, I am working on one case study. I would like to evaluate the
MapServer solution.

My question is: Do you have public documentation concerning that open
source technology (to determine his benifits and problems). The study is a
general analyse, but I will really need some technical informations.

I would appreciate your help
