Hello!

I’m a newbie in using mapserver. In time I’ve installed the
mapserver and the itasca demo and everything run’s fine.

Now there’s my problem: How will I implement a query, where you can
search over an amount of features (name, street, postcode, phone and so on).
The result should be displayed in form of a list with the possibility to zoom
to each entry. Is there a possibility to realize this by using mapserver
without additional server-side programming? Is it possible to execute feature
queries in the form of an regular expression or an sql-statement?

All I’ve found in time are the examples on
http://maps.dnr.state.mn.us/mapserver_demos/tests/itemquery/test.html. But they only show how I can
performe queries for _one_ feature.

It would be kind if you can send me an example. Thanks for your help!

Jens
