[mapserver-users] Mysql support for PostGIS in version MySQL 4.1

I posted this query on the MySQL mail-list and got the following response!
Looks like Mysql will soon have support for PostGIS in the next 1-2 months.

Jeremy,

Yes, we will have matched functionality to that of PostgreSQL's PostGIS
in MySQL 4.1.

We will probably start an Alpha release of 4.1 within the next 1-2
months.
