[mapserver-users] Just want to update the map image

I am looking to just update the map image with every request from the 
navigation or layers column without redrawing the entire web page. Realise 
that I need to use frames and javascript but got lost looking at some of the 
  examples around.
Anyone got any pointers or a simplied version on doing this.
