The demo distributed via the website has both PNG and GIF versions of
all graphics, or at least I
thought it did.

Use the gif2png utility (www.tuxedo.org/~esr/gif2png). Might already
be
on your system if you're using Linux or another *nix flavor. Not sure
if it will work on Windows. If not, check out Irfanview
(www.irfanview.com) which is an awesome freeware image editing program
that will do batch conversion.
