[Mapserver-users] Is it mandatory to use projection?

Hi the list,
 
I've developped an application whithout declaring any projection. Is there nevertheless a default projection attribued?
 
The ground I represent is about 20 km^2, so this isn't to big I think. Can I have precision problem with that?
