[Mapserver-users] *.lyr and *.sym

Hello,

I want to generate legends dynamically and therefor I need the *.sym 
files for certain types, I guess (colors with certain symbols on it).
Now I've got data with a *.lyr file which I can not read. I think it
is a file generated by ArcView or ArcInfo but I don't know how to open
that file, so that I can convert it to make it accessible from Mapserver. 
I think that this file is comparable with the sym file from MapServer.

Does anybody has experience with that?
