[Mapserver-users] the performance in linux against win2k?

Hi!
I recently use mapserver as cgi with win2k+appache. It
works nice.
But i read from some articles that creating process in
win2k+appache is relatively slow than linux, so cgi is
not a good solution in win2k. Is it right? 
Will it benefit a lot if i setup a linux in the same
pc to replace win2k?
