[Mapserver-users] shapefile programming

Hi,

I need a program or programmer to manipulate a Shapefile.

I want to pull the bounding box out of the SHP file and put it in the DBF 
file.

You see what I mean?  I want to add four columns to the DBF file: north, 
south, east and west.  And I want to populate those four fields to indicate 
the boundary of each object.

Do you know of a utility program that will do this?  If not, do you know a 
programmer who will write me such a utility program for a fee?
