[Mapserver-users] Label depending on Scale and Labelitem

Hi List,

I've got a point-shapefile with a labelitem in the dbf. Now I want to 
say in the mapfile that if Labelitem = "1" and Scale > 8000 it should 
use SYMBOL "a" but if Labelitem = "1" and Scale < 8000 it should use 
SYMBOL "b".
Is it possible to define this in a single layer or will I have to 
provide two layers with MAXSCALE/MINSCALE?

The Problem is, that a wms-client will Request a GetMap only using a 
single Layername.

I'm using MapServer 3.6.5 as a CGI.
