Matt,

The "no_defs" item ensures that no defaults are read from the defaults files.
Sometimes they cause suprising problems.

There is some pretty good documentation in the two or three PostScript
report documents on PROJ.4, but they aren't organized for easy reference
- thats for sure.  Even I have a devil of a time finding information.
