MapScript supports projection (i.e. there is a project method for most
spatial objects) so you
could write a quick script that way. I wrote a quick script that
demonstrates how to to it although
it works on shapefiles instead of CGI input. You get the idea...

Hi all,

Does anyone know if the PROJ.4x software could be used for CGI calls
such as
in the following:

http://mycomputer/proj.exe?datum=nad27&projection=utm&zone=10&coords=583695+6267684&result_datum=nad83&result_projection=latlong

with the result of the translation being returned as part of the CGI
string.

I would then use the resulting CGI string for further processing.

thanks,
Stephen
