[Mapserver-users] Calculate Scale

Hmmm. Not sure why you would ever set the SCALE in a map file. It
changes depending on the current maps extent, so it changes every time
you zoom in or out.
It is optional in a map file. Just leave it out.
To find the scale use the [scale] template variable in your template.
