[Mapserver-users] MapServer 4.0 Tutorial problems

I've been going through the tutorial, and have run into some problems with it.
The first one is in exercise 1-4, where labeling is introduced.  These lines:

  TYPE TRUETYPE
  FONT arial-bold

cause an "Internal Server Error" from Apache.  The TYPE line by itself just
produces this (as expected):

  msGetLabelSize(): TrueType Font error. Requested font (NULL) not found.

But when both are present, MapServer fails.  Where might I look for a solution
to this?  "mapserv -v" reports:

MapServer version 4.0.1 OUTPUT=PNG OUTPUT=JPEG OUTPUT=WBMP SUPPORTS=PROJ SUPPORTS=FREETYPE SUPPORTS=WMS_SERVER INPUT=TIFF INPUT=EPPL7 INPUT=JPEG INPUT=OGR INPUT=GDAL INPUT=SHAPEFILE
