[Mapserver-users] new to mapserver - installation help

I am trying to install on Redhat. If I compile with GD and Freetype, it tests 
fine from web browser. But thn if I add proj or gdal, it compiles fine and 
tests of from the command line but errors out ( Internal Server error 500 ) 
from the web browser. File permissions are identical in both cases. CAn any one 
throw some light please?
