Hello,

I am in the process of writing a php based map page where users can zoom, p=
an and view the labels. The users can store special points for them on the =
mysql and upon pressing a button on the page they can zoom to that point on=
 the map. Now I want to extent this function to ordinary labels but I dont =
know how to.

I have several layers of streets and points. What I am thinking is to put a=
 combo box where all street names and/or point names will be included. User=
 will chose one and submit form. After that I dont know. Within php how can=
 I query the layer and find the layer name among the data and extract at le=
ast one pair of coordinates to submit into zooming function?
