Thanks for pointing that... we'll have the maptools website updated with 
the 4.0 docs.  Note that you can also get the 4.0 PHP MapScript docs on 
the UMN site at 
http://mapserver.gis.umn.edu/doc40/phpmapscript-class-guide.html
